What we provide
Safe Life Med is a private assisted medical transport and medical assistance service. We provide patient transport, response in critical situations, event medical assistance, home consultations, home monitoring and home infusion treatments, international patient transfer, transport of medicines and equipment, and first-aid services. Each service is described in full under Services.
The crew and the equipment are decided according to the patient’s condition, as described by the client when the request is made.
The service does not replace 112
Safe Life Med is a private service and is not part of the national emergency call system. If the patient’s life is in immediate danger (cardiac arrest, loss of consciousness, massive haemorrhage, a serious accident), the first call must be to 112.
We do not diagnose over the phone. What the dispatch tells you concerns the appropriate crew, the estimated arrival time and the price, not medical advice.
How a booking is made
Requests are made by phone, on 0735 347 600, or through the form on the Contact page. The form is intended for scheduled transport, events and quote requests. For anything that cannot wait, call.
The contract is concluded when the dispatch confirms the trip by phone, together with the crew, the time and the final price. Confirmation assumes that the information given by the client about the patient’s condition, the address and building access is accurate.
Prices, payment and paperwork
The prices published on the Rates page are indicative and are starting prices. The final price is given by phone before the crew sets off and does not change on arrival, unless the client changes the route, the destination or the medical requirements after confirmation.
Payment is made at the end of the trip, by card or in cash. We issue a fiscal receipt and, on request, an invoice to a person or a company. The service is private and is not reimbursed by the national health insurance house. For international transfers we can invoice the insurer covering the repatriation directly, provided it confirms cover in writing.
Cancellation and rescheduling
Cancelling or rescheduling a trip is done by phone, on 0735 347 600, as early as possible. If the crew has not set off yet, cancellation is free of charge.
If the crew is already on its way to the pick-up address, we may invoice the journey already made. The amount is communicated by phone before it is invoiced. For event assistance, cancellation terms are set out in the written quote.
Medical transport is performed at the date and time agreed with the client. If you expressly request performance before the statutory withdrawal period expires, the right of withdrawal is lost once the service has been fully performed, in accordance with the legislation on distance contracts.
The client obligations
- To describe accurately the patient’s condition, approximate weight, mobility and any risks, so that the crew and equipment are appropriate.
- To ensure access to the building and to say in advance if there are narrow stairs, no lift, or vehicle access restrictions.
- To provide the medical documents needed for the destination unit to admit the patient, where these are required.
- To pay the confirmed price at the end of the trip.
Liability
We are liable for the services provided within the limits of Romanian legislation applicable to private medical services and patient transport, and within the limits of the insurance policies in place.
We are not liable for delays or for an inability to perform caused by traffic, extreme weather, road closures, force majeure events, or incorrect or incomplete information received from the client. Arrival times given are good-faith estimates, not guaranteed deadlines.
Complaints and disputes
Complaints can be sent to contact@safe-life-med.ro or made by phone on 0735 347 600. We reply within 30 days of receipt at the latest.
As a consumer, you may contact the Romanian National Authority for Consumer Protection (anpc.ro) or use the European online dispute resolution platform, ODR (ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr).
Governing law and changes
These terms are governed by Romanian law, and any dispute not settled amicably falls under the jurisdiction of the Romanian courts.
We may update this document. The version applicable to a trip is the one published on the site when the trip was confirmed. The date of the last update is shown at the top of the page. The processing of personal data is described in the Privacy policy, and traffic measurement in the Cookie policy.
If the patient's life is in danger, call 112
Safe Life Med is a private medical transport and assistance service. It does not replace the National Emergency Service. For cardiac arrest, loss of consciousness, massive haemorrhage or a serious accident, always call 112 first.
