Cookie policy

safe-life-med.ro is published by Safe Life Med S.R.L.. This document explains which storage and measurement technologies we use, and it covers every public page of the site.

On an ordinary visit, the site writes no cookie in your browser and reads nothing from your device storage. Specifically:

• we have no advertising or retargeting cookies;
• we load no Google Analytics, Meta pixel, TikTok, LinkedIn or other third-party tracking script;
• we do not follow visitors from one site to another;
• we build no user profiles and we never sell or rent data to anyone.

So that we know which pages are read, the site runs its own counter on the same domain. When a page opens, an internal request is sent to /api/track and we store:

• the address of the page visited;
• where you arrived from (search engine, social network or direct access), derived from the host of the referring page;
• the coarse device type (phone, tablet or desktop), derived from the browser;
• the country, as determined by the hosting provider at network level;
• a code generated by a hash function from the IP address, the browser and the current date.

The counter writes no cookie and uses no local storage. The IP address itself is not stored: it only feeds the hash, and it cannot be reconstructed from it. The code changes every day, so today’s visits cannot be linked to yesterday’s and they do not identify the person behind them. We use the result strictly for aggregate statistics (how many visits a page gets, where they come from, which devices they use).

The site runs on Vercel infrastructure and uses two of its tools: Vercel Web Analytics, for the number of visits per page, and Vercel Speed Insights, for the real loading times measured in visitors’ browsers.

Both work without cookies and without a persistent identifier, and the results are reported to us in aggregate. They give us no access to data about a particular person and are not used for advertising.

The only cookie this site can write is the Supabase Auth session cookie. It appears only after the administrator enters a password in the admin dashboard, and it serves solely to keep the sign-in session between pages.

If you visit the site as an ordinary visitor, this cookie is never written. Being strictly necessary for a service explicitly requested by the user signing in, it is exempt from the consent requirement.

The cookie rules (the ePrivacy Directive, transposed in Romania by Law no. 506/2004) require consent when a site stores information on the user’s terminal equipment or reads information already stored there.

On an ordinary visit this site does neither, and the administrator cookie is strictly necessary. We therefore do not ask for a consent we do not need, and we do not make you dismiss a banner on every visit.

You can block the site’s scripts from your browser settings or with a blocking extension. The pages stay fully functional and the visit simply is not counted. Private browsing has the same effect on the administrator cookie, which is cleared when the window closes.

If we ever add a tool that writes cookies or reads data from your device, we will update this document beforehand and, where the law requires it, ask for consent in advance.
